Oh Boy, Oh Boy!
Well, the Campbell boys are growing! Colin will be 6 months and will be ready to start cereal next week. That seems crazy to me. He is starting to get up on all fours. I think he'll probably be crawling within the month. He loves to "go" for toys or anything for that matter. He continues to be super smiley and fun. He's starting to find his voice but he's still super consolable, especially for Mommy. Lucky me!
Braden continues to grow and will be three very soon. He got his first big boy haircut at the barber this last weekend. It really makes him look 3. He also went skiing and snowshoeing a couple weeks back. He's trying to skip the whole wedge thing and just jump to parallel skiing. I think he watched too much Olympics. We are also gearing up for baseball season again. He's been pitching and hitting. He's totally outfitted with baseball pants, batting gloves, "helmet" (which is an orange construction hat), and even baseball bases. Do you think he'll be a gear head? Oh yeah, and he loves to ride his fluorescent green Tony Hawk 14" wheels bicycle with training wheels. He even wound up in the skate park by our house the other day. He followed a couple of kids a little bit older than him into it on their bikes. He still loves to read, but as you can tell from above he's super active and loves to run, run, run!!!
Mike is working hard still and starting in July it will be only two more years of residency. Yeah! He takes a practice oral boards this coming weekend, so he's been studying for that. He loves being a dad and is constantly saying when I am home its the "best part of my day." or "I just want to be a dad." Its really quite charming. Of course he loves being a surgeon too. So, I guess other than the work hours he's doing pretty good too. We just had cousin Nicole here last weekend, which was lots of fun. We played some Wii and went to the Experience Music Project and Pacific Science Museum. Braden loves dinosaurs, but the skeleton of the T-Rex was a bit much. I was at work when they went, but I think it sort of freaked him out. At least he's still reading his dinosaur books and eating his dinosaur oatmeal.
I am continuing my domestic duties with the upmost care ;-). But really right now, other than being a mom, I am really enjoying getting some exercise. I am training for a half marathon on May 1st. My parents will be out her and they've agreed to babysit for me. I love the endorphins of running and exercise and am really feeling good. The weather hasn't been too bad here too, which helps. I love the double stroller and its definitely a good work out, nothing like pushing 55+ pounds while running. Oh yeah, and don't forget I have at least one dog on a leash too. Needless to say, getting out of the door is interesting sometimes. I wouldn't change any of it for the world though. And feel truly blessed or lucky or good karma, or whatever for all that I have in my life.

Bradisms
So here's a few recent Bradisms...
Crying uncontrollably, "I want a flu shot." we tried to go get the H1N1 flu vaccine yesterday, but the 500 doses were gone after 5 minutes. We showed up at ten minutes and were turned away. I was thankful to not have to wait in the rain for two hours though. It was a line worse than Disneyland on 4th of July.
I drop a blanket..."Oh Mommy, you are so impossible."
Out for a walk with the dogs...dogs sniff then lift their leg and pee. Braden does the same...without actually physically peeing of course.
Playing baseball in the front yard pitching to me and says "I'm not pitching too well today." This is coming from a 2.5 year old who lifts his knee like the pros and throws a mean fast ball.
"I watched the puppy movie three times today." (which he did, can he count or was that a lucky guess?)
He must wear baseball pants, volleyball shorts, soccer pants, camping shorts, bicycle clothes, etc. whenever he's watching on tv or playing any of these. And socks are gloves for any of the sports that need them.
Colin has now outgrown the newborn phase. Yesterday he really started cooing, batting at toys, and i think smiling. He tracks like crazy and loves to stick out his tongue when i stick it out at him. He's also staying awake a little more...though he still loves to be snuggled. He weighed in at 13lbs 6oz two days ago and is 23 1/4 inches long (90th percentile). Needless to say we are into the 3 to 6 month clothes at 6 weeks old. He still has a great temperament, easy going, and very consolsble. (knock on wood)

Recent Visitors to Seattle
Auntie Michelle went to the pumpkin patch/petting zoo with us the weekend of October 12th. We also went with Braden's best buddy Marcus and his parents. They had a blast and the sun came out for us.
Grammy and Grampy Bartley came the next day and stayed with us for 1 1/2 weeks. I am sure they went home and rested well. A small house with 4 adults, 2 big dogs, and a baby can exhaust anyone.
Thanks to everyone, Grandma Campbell too, for all your help this past month!!
